vs. what we expect you to possess already:
  • Must be a competent engineer capable of earning the respect of the engineers and technical associates.
  • Should already have relevant software and hardware experience and be capable of quickly coming up to speed on digital video server and set top technology and industry.
  • This is not a good training ground for someone with leadership potential. Above all, this person must have proven leaderships skills and be ready to make a real difference from the get go.

We'll minimize our risks by choosing someone who meets these criteria:
  • Should be comfortable "getting hands dirty" one day to participating in strategic planning and problem solving at the executive level the next.
  • Must possess the interpersonal skills and competence to work with a diversity of people from external customers and vendors to marketing and sales associates.
  • Personal qualities include flexibility, change-orientation, and reliability.
  • Person should have come up the ranks during a hands-on engineering career, with ideally ten years of engineering experience.
  • Significant engineering management or leadership experience is a must.
  • A BS degree or equivalent is desired in a technical field such as electrical engineering or computer science.
  • Digital set top box experience, including encoders and decoders and video and data applications is desired.
